Action4Diabetes — HelloType1 flagship
Their technology partner since 2023: we migrated action4diabetes.org, and built and run HelloType1, their type 1 diabetes education platform, findable in 8 Southeast Asian languages. A4D owns all clinical content; we own the technology and findability layer.
International Rescue Committee — Refugee Employability Programme
We built the website behind IRC's delivery of the Home Office programme across South West England. Introduced by TERN; the programme ran to 2025.

A multilingual AI guidance assistant for refugee entrepreneurs: source-verified answers to routine questions about starting and running a UK business — in the founder's own language — with anything complex routed straight to a human mentor. Co-developed with a refugee-enterprise partner.
Tier 2 · WebBooster, with TERN
Through TERN's WebBooster programme we've built websites for refugee founders launching in the UK — meeting them on accessible tools, subsidised through TERN, so a new business has an online presence from day one. StartNewLife — built and run for StartNewLife CIC
Our own platform: a free multilingual navigation resource for refugees and migrants in the UK, in seven languages, run by StartNewLife CIC since December 2022. Mendee designs and builds it, structures the content, runs search and the directories, and maintains it.
The directory — every NHS GP practice, regulated immigration adviser, refugee-relevant charity and qualified translator in the UK: 15,144 records, cleaned, refugee-flagged, refreshed monthly. It runs our own navigators' work; we share cuts with mission-aligned organisations on request. Learn more →
We built this for our own community first.

- Do you build chatbots?
- Rarely, and never as the headline. Most organisations need their verified content to surface in the engines people already use — not a bot. We lead with findability; retrieval only where it genuinely helps, grounded in your content, with a human route.
- Who owns the content and IP?
- You own your expert content and authorship. We own the technical layer we build, and say so explicitly.
- Why privacy-first?
- Open-source models on our own hardware — no user data to third-party APIs, no per-query cloud cost.
- Charity or company?
- Both: StartNewLife CIC (15445605) runs the free programmes that prove the work; Mendee Ltd (14071822) is the Studio and the translation service that cross-subsidise the mission.

- AEO makes verified content findable and citable inside AI answer engines — Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity — not just classic search. In practice: clean structured data, machine-readable facts, and content shaped for how engines lift answers, so the right organisation gets quoted.
